FSA deadlines approaching

If you still need to report planted acres or sign-up for the 2018 farm programs, you better do it soon.

The FSA deadline for reporting planted acreage is July 16. The agency says to stop by an FSA office as soon as possible for this. All spring planted crops, including corn and soybeans, must be reported. Meanwhile, the 2018 ARC and PLC program signup deadline is Aug. 1. Any ARC or PLC contacts need to be signed to be eligible for potential payments.

Under ARC/PLC a new contract needs to be completed each year.
