Field day set for Tuesday

LEXINGTON – The Brandt Consolidated field day is set for Tuesday (Aug. 9) at the Lexington research farm to review the growing season.

“I know we’re going to touch on waterhemp control which I know is a hot topic,” said Jason McArdle of Brandt.

Fertilizer and seed treatment will be discussed along with what worked and what did not during the season. McArdle says the crops in Central Illinois look outstanding due to the timely rains this summer.

“Let’s just cross our fingers that all that works out well and we’ll start planning for fall pretty soon.”
