Harness racing to kick off State Fair

This year’s Illinois State Fair will host harness racing next month.

The event actually kicks off the 2024 grandstand schedule on Aug. 8. Admission to the harness races is free for those attending the State Fair.

The State Fair is planned for Aug. 8 to 18 in Springfield.
