By Kent Casson

Attention livestock-related businesses: your expertise is requested for a career networking opportunity with community college students.

The Illinois Pork Producers Association is seeking businesses to participate in an opportunity on Thursday, Oct. 31 as selected businesses will have the chance to network with Illinois Pork Industry participants that currently attend Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield about positions available in the livestock industry.

This Livestock Career Networking meeting will be at the Kreher Agriculture Center of Lincoln Land Community College, 2550 Foundation Drive in Springfield from 1 to 3:30 p.m.

Types of businesses that qualify to apply include farms, nutrition, management services, veterinary care, equipment, data management, industry related sales/service, commodity broker and pharmaceutical.

There is no cost to attend but there are only 20 spots available.
