Tuesday's USDA report provided some bearish news for corn to digest but we did see soybean acres down, with yields up as expected.

"The impact on beans wasn't as bad," Aaron Curtis of MIDCO told The Central Illinois Farm Network. "We actually saw bean ending stocks down and the market was expecting an increase."

About a billion more acres of corn was found in this report compared to July and that is of course a big number. They found almost two million more harvested acres of corn and raised corn yield by about 7.5 bushels per acre up to 188 bushels per acre.

"All of that adds up to about a billion more bushels of corn here today," acknowledged Curtis.

We did see new crop exports and feed use up.
