Statewide election results from Tues.
JB Pritzker won a second term as governor of Illinois in Tuesday’s election.
The race was called for the Democrat Pritzker, who rain against Republican Senator Darren Bailey, only minutes after the polls closed.
Alexi Giannoulias is projected to be the winner of the Illinois Secretary of State race against Republican Dan Brady of Bloomington. He succeeds Jesse White who will step down after six terms.
Kwame Raoul, the incumbent Democrat, won the race for Illinois Attorney General over Republican Thomas DeVore. Raoul was formerly a Democratic member of the State Senate, representing the 13th district between 2004 and 2019 until he was elected Attorney General.
U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth won a second term after defeating Republican Kathy Salvi. Duckworth, an Iraq war veteran, lost both legs in 2004 when the Blackhawk helicopter she was flying was hit. She served a couple of terms in the House and worked for the Obama Administration.
