Spring tree & fish sale underway

Spring tree and fish sales from the McLean County Soil and Water Conservation District are in progress.

They are offering American Redbud, Red Pointe Maple, Green Mountain Maple, Bur Oak, Golden Delicious Apple and other types of trees. Meanwhile, the fish sale features various sizes of Channel Catfish, Hybrid Sunfish, bluegill, crappie, fathead minnows, largemouth bass and triploid grass carp. These are all perfect for stocking ponds.

Fish ordering deadline is April 5 for grass carp and April 12 for other species. Fish pickup is scheduled for Thursday, April 20 at 9 a.m. at the SWCD office, 402 N. Kays Drive in Normal. Tree ordering deadline is April 19. Tree pickup will be April 27 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. also at the office.
