Rennecker named to NREC board

The Illinois Department of Agriculture (IDOA) has designated Brian Rennecker to represent the Department on the Illinois Nutrient Research & Education Council (NREC) board of directors. Rennecker replaces Chuck Cawley who retired from IDOA in June.

 

Brian Rennecker serves as IDOA’s Division Manager of Natural Resources. As a third-generation farmer and wildlife and nature enthusiast, Brian brings extensive field-based conservation experience to his leadership role. Prior to serving as the Division Manager, Rennecker served as the Bureau Chief of Land and Water Resources. He has also served as an IDOA Ag Land & Water Resource Specialist and a Resource Conservationist with the Illinois Soil and Water District in Sangamon County.

 

Brian provides leadership for pesticide regulation and testing, groundwater monitoring well network, livestock management facilities program, Partners for Conservation program, state apiary inspection, as well as IDOA’s oversight of farmland protection and mine land reclamation efforts.
