Loschen wins achievement award

Retiring Tri-Point High School agriculture teacher Diana Loschen was the state winner of the National Association of Agriculture Educators Lifetime Achievement Award.

She won the honor during the recent Illinois Association of Vocational Agriculture Teachers conference in Carbondale. For over 33 years, Loschen served as the ag teacher and FFA advisor at Tri-Point High School before retiring on June 30.

NAAE recognizes retiring members who have made significant contributions to agricultural education at the state, regional and national levels with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Loschen's application was submitted to represent the state in regional competition.

An open house marking Loschen's retirement is planned for Sunday, July 25 from 1-4 p.m. at the Kempton Legion Hall. All are invited to attend.
