Livestock training offered

Livestock truck rollover training is being offered this week throughout the state.
The free interactive training prepares responders and industry professionals to safely and effectively handle incidents involving rolled-over livestock trailers.
Included is classroom content on livestock behavior, responder safety, scene management and handling priorities. There is a hands-on walk through use a livestock trailer. Interactive discussions are also held along with Q&A with trainers experienced in animal welfare and emergency response.
Ideal attendees are fire departments, law enforcement, emergency managers, dispatch, veterinarians and livestock producers.
Training sessions will be offered Tuesday (July 22) at the Illinois Fire Service Institute in Champaign, Wednesday (July 23) at the NIU Barsema Alumni and Visitors Center in DeKalb and Thursday (July 24) at Black Hawk College East in Galva.
