Le Roy farmers market opens
The Le Roy Farmers Market has opened for the season.
Despite a rainy start to the year, organizers say every vendor sold something and several recovered their entire booth fee for the season in the very first night. Visitors from Farmer City to Bloomington have enjoyed the market.
Those looking for a new place to sell locally grown products should consider the Le Roy Farmers Market every Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. through October 7 in Kiwanis Park.
The seasonal booth fee has been pro-rated for a limited time which means vendors get a reserved 10x10 booth space for the whole season at around $6 per week. If you just need a week or two, the one week drop for the fee is only $20.
