Jenner Ag is proud to announce the recipients of the 2025 Jenner Ag Furthering Ag Education Scholarship, awarding two $1,000 scholarships to support students in their academic and professional pursuits in agriculture.
“The next generation of agriculture is full of so much promise, and our scholarship recipients embody that potential,” says Steve Jones, CEO of Jenner Ag. “Their energy and dedication give us confidence that the future of farming will be stronger, smarter and more sustainable than ever before.”
This year’s recipients are Nicholas Beckner of Indiana and Jacob McWard of Illinois.
Beckner, a student at Purdue University, is pursuing a degree in Agronomy. Growing up on his family farm, he developed a passion for the land and the role of machinery in agriculture. At Purdue, he is on the Dean’s List and participates in Agronomy Club, turfgrass research and the Soil Judging Team, placing fifth nationally. With a goal of consulting farmers to improve soil health and boost productivity, he is committed to advancing agriculture for future generations.
McWard is attending the University of Illinois to pursue a degree in Agricultural Business with a minor in Agronomy. Raised on his family’s farm, he gained hands-on experience maintaining Case IH equipment and managing farm operations. This foundation led him to join FFA, where he quickly rose to leadership positions. After college, he intends to return to the family farm to expand their Black Angus cattle operation and contribute to the growth of the row crop enterprise. With a passion for agriculture, leadership and community service, he is committed to using his skills and knowledge to strengthen his farm and give back to his community.
