Illinois crop production: Winter wheat

USDA-NASS issued crop production information for Illinois on Friday.

The winter wheat harvested area in 2024 is forecast at 680,000 acres, down 13 percent from the previous year. The winter wheat yield is forecast at 83 bushels per acre, down 4 bushels from 2023. Production is forecast at 56.4 million bushels, down 17 percent from last year.
