Illinois crop production report

The harvested winter wheat area in Illinois this year is forecast at 660,000 acres, up 8 percent from last year.

Friday’s Illinois Crop Production Report from USDA-NASS showed the winter wheat yield forecast at 78 bushels per acre, down a bushel from 2021. Production is expected to reach 51.5 million bushels, up 7 percent from last year.
