IL Pork Expo coming soon

SPRINGFIELD – Illinois Pork Expo is coming Jan. 30 to Springfield.
Certified livestock training is provided at 8 a.m. followed by the annual meeting at 9 which is open to the public. Presentations will be given by Dr. David Newman, Senior Vice President of Market Growth of the National Pork Board and Cody McKinley, Vice President of State and National Relations with the National Pork Producers Council.
A special presentation will give given at 11:30 a.m. by Steve Meyer, Ph.D Economist with Partners for Production. The trade show is open from Noon to 8 p.m. with a legislative reception taking place 5 to 7 p.m. and the live auction from 7 to 8 p.m.
