The Central Illinois Farm Network now has another radio affiliate in Central Illinois.
Hear CIFN programming on WPOK-FM 93.7 “Route 24 Radio.”
“It makes sense to put plenty of ag programming on the new 93.7 as we are in the middle of farm country,” said Casson Media’s Kent Casson, who has returned the station to local ownership.
The radio station is licensed to Pontiac with a strong 12,000-watt signal that also covers Bloomington-Normal and smaller towns throughout the area.
“As farmers head out to the field for planting season, they can turn on their radio in the tractor cab and hear ag programs throughout the day,” adds Casson.
Start off your day by listening to “A Central Illinois Morning” from 5 to 6 a.m. and stick around for other farm reports like “Central Illinois Today,” the “Rural Report,” “Soybean Minute,” and ag news segments. Plus, market updates will be provided in the morning and midday segments.
More on-air programming will be announced in April for 93.7 FM, which features one of the largest music libraries around playing some of the greatest hits of all time 24/7 when not running local programs.
Having “Route 24 Radio” WPOK 93.7 as an affiliate adds to the growing footprint of the Central Illinois Farm Network, which currently has affiliate stations in Gibson City (WGCY 106.3), Bloomington-Normal (WJBC 1230) and Kankakee/Will/Grundy counties (River Country 101.7, 103.7, 96.1).
Listeners can still access the latest on-demand Central Illinois Farm Network programs, podcasts, ag stories and midday market updates at www.centralillinoisfarmnetwork.com and by following the Central Illinois Farm Network on social media.
