Hazardous waste collections set

Eight household hazardous waste collections will be held by the Illinois EPA in the coming weeks.

All Illinois residents can participate in the one-day collections which will run from 8-3 on the day of the event. Through the household hazardous waste collections, residents have a free chance to safety get rid of leftover or

unused products commonly found in homes.

Collection events are slated for Aug. 9 in Champaign, Sept. 6 in Quincy, Sept. 27 in Springfield, Oct. 4 in Bloomington, Oct. 11 in East Moline, Oct. 25 in Crestwood, Nov. 1 in Taylorville and Nov. 8 in Romeoville.
