Fun farm events this weekend

The Livingston County Farm Bureau has planned a fun weekend of events in the area.

Saturday (June 10) is the annual Breakfast on the Farm at Kilgus Farmstead south of Fairbury with a dollar breakfast served from 7 to 10 a.m. This dollar represents the approximate amount of money the farmer makes for growing or raising the ingredients. The menu includes biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, milk, coffee and orange juice.

Those attending can also enjoy agricultural displays, tour the dairy farm and participate in free family activities.

The LCFB “Flick on the Farm” returns the next night on Sunday (June 11) at the Kent and Jarrin Blunier farm, 25245 E. 900 North Road, Forrest. Kids activities start at 6:30 p.m. with the movie, The Boss Baby Family Business, starting at dusk. Food, tea, lemonade and popcorn will all be available free of charge.
