DECATUR – Typically, the site of the Farm Progress Show in Decatur sees lines of cars and trucks waiting to get into the nation's largest outdoor farm show every two years but the grounds saw a different crowd recently.

A drive-through COVID vaccine event was held last week at Progress City USA on the campus of Richland Community College. The Decatur Herald & Review reported the event was closed within minutes of starting since enough individuals were already in line to reach the 500-dose limit.

A couple from Harristown, Illinois were reportedly the first people to get in line for the vaccine, arriving about 3:30 in the afternoon last Thursday.
