Former Illinois Corn Board volunteer leader and National Corn Growers Association Board member Martin Barbre has been announced as a Master Farmer.

Barbre received the 2023 honor from Prairie Farmer. He served with Illinois Corn from1996-2006 and the NCGA from 2008-2016, serving as president of both boards as well.

Several farmers received the Master Farmer designation recently. This includes farmers who give back to their communities, serve the ag industry, pave the way for a future generation of farmers and those who are financially and environmentally sustainable.

Barbre is all of these things, according to Illinois Corn.
