Dealership offers scholarship

Prairie State Tractor, a John Deere dealership in north central Illinois, is offering a scholarship program aimed at developing and supporting future service technicians.

For the 2022-23 school year, they have a total of $13,000 in funds to be awarded to graduated seniors and current college students that are pursuing a degree in diesel technology and ag mechanics. In addition, they also now offer a Tech Student Program which gives students the opportunity to partner with Prairie State and a college of their choosing to attain a two-year associate degree in diesel technology or ag mechanics. The program includes up to $12,000 in tuition reimbursement, $7,000 worth of John Deere tools and a toolbox, and a paid internship at Prairie State Tractor.
