Anhydrous Ammonia training scheduled

The Illinois Fertilizer & Chemical Association (IFCA), in partnership with the Illinois Department of Agriculture (IDOA), will launch the 2026 Spring Competent Attendant Anhydrous Ammonia Training next week, beginning February 23 in Bloomington.


This in-person training is designed for individuals who work with or around anhydrous ammonia and is required for those responsible for its safe handling. Participants who successfully complete the course and pass the exam will receive a three-year Competent Attendant certification issued by IDOA.


2026 Training Dates & Locations


February 23 – Agricenter, Bloomington

February 24 – The Pavilion, Marion

February 25 – Effingham Events Center, Effingham

February 26 – Hilton Garden Inn, Mattoon

March 2 – Mendota Civic Center, Mendota

March 3 – Knox Agricenter, Galesburg

March 4 – Holiday Inn, Quincy

March 5 – Prairie View Reception Center, Chatham

March 16 – Agricenter, Bloomington


Training sessions will be held at multiple locations across the state through March 16.
