Agronomist added to Brandt team

BRANDT, a leading retailer of professional agronomic services and manufacturer of specialty input products, has added respected agronomist, Derek Rapp, to its technical agronomy team.

Rapp will work directly with the BRANDT Agronomic Services locations in central Illinois by bringing agronomic insights and strategies to their customers.

Rapp comes to BRANDT after holding technical agronomy positions at Koch Agronomic Services and Trace Genomics. His product knowledge, work ethic and communication skills will prove valuable while assisting the BRANDT locations and their customers.

“Derek is completely focused on helping BRANDT customers with their profitability and pushing the limits of production,” said Kyle McClelland, BRANDT Seed and Technical Agronomy Manager. “His enthusiasm and experience are a great fit to complement our high caliber team and provide the service and technical expertise to our valued growers.”

Rapp earned his B.S. in Crop and Soil Science from Illinois State University and his M.S. in Crop Sciences from the University of Illinois. He is also a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) with an added certification in 4R Nutrient Management.

“Over the years, I have watched BRANDT collaborate and be a true advisor to their customers. They are a professional team and their passion to help farmers is unmatched in Illinois. I’m ready to hit the ground running,” said Rapp.
