Ag Day breakfast canceled
The Ag Day Breakfast scheduled for Friday morning (Aug. 11) at the Illinois State Fair has been canceled.
This decision was made out of an abundance of caution due to impending weather, according to the Illinois Department of Agriculture in a Thursday night announcement. IDOA director Jerry Costello said their top priority is the safety of guests as the breakfast was to be held outside on the Director’s Lawn.
Centennial, sesquicentennial and bi-centennial farm families were invited to gather at the John R. Block Building Friday morning still for the traditional farm family photos.
A complimentary breakfast will be offered to attendees of the Ag Day breakfast on Sunday from 8 to 10 a.m. at the State Fair Ag Tent.
