New state officers elected

Five new state FFA officers were elected during the very first virtual Illinois State FFA Convention last week.

President is Lexi Mueller, Valmeyer FFA; vice-president is Molly Schempp, Olympia FFA; reporter is Margaret Vaessen, Amboy FFA; secretary is Jordi Oliver, Vienna FFA; and treasurer is Emma Kuhns, Altamont FFA.

The convention, which is usually held in Springfield, was moved online due to the coronavirus pandemic. Almost 400 delegates cast ballots in the live election. The convention was a success.
