State Fair lowers admission

SPRINGFIELD - Illinois State Fair manager Kevin Gordon has announced daily admission prices have been lowered for Sunday through Thursday at this year's fair.

The prices will be $5 for adults while senior prices will remain the same at $3 and children 12 and younger are free. This is being done to make the fair a more affordable family-friendly experience. Parking on the grounds remains at $5 a day.

Tickets can be purchased online at illinoistatefair.info or by calling 217-782-6661. They can also be purchased in person at the Emmerson Building on the fairgrounds between 8 and 4:30 Monday through Friday. Discount admission booklets which provide an adult 11 any-day admissions to the fair are still $45.
