Local stores hold food drive

Beat those winter blues while helping others.

You can help local food pantries serve others during the winter months by bringing any unexpired meal in a can or unopened necessity item to Once ‘n Again in Fairbury or Pontiac through Jan. 31. Those donating items will receive a coupon for 20 percent off their purchase (white tagged items are excluded from discounts).

In order to encourage donations which will be most helpful to those in need, there are some restrictions on coupons. All donations will be accepted and passed along however only meals in a can like beef stew, chili or soup and certain necessity items will receive a Once ‘n Again coupon.
