SPORTS CENTRAL: Normal wins

NORMAL – Normal Community moved a step closer to a Big 12 championship Friday night after defeating Danville 36-8 in high school football action.

Normal clinched a playoff spot for the 23rd consecutive season and will play Champaign Centennial next week in Champaign for the chance at clinching at least a share of the conference championship.

Danville is in must-win mode now after dropping to 3-4 on the season. The Normal and Danville game was the CIFN Sports Central game of the week presented by the Precision Planting PTI Farm at Pontiac. Eric Stock provided the play-by-play live on the Central Illinois Farm Network Facebook page.
