State issues from the combine cab

State Rep. Dan Brady (R-Bloomington) recently stopped to visit with The Central Illinois Farm Network in the combine cab for an edition of “CIFN Friday Live” sponsored by the McLean County Farm Bureau.
Brady is a member of a bi-partisan group discussing higher education in Illinois. The group continues to work on a funding formula.
“We did a number of things that were important in the first phase of the group and that was doing legislation with a focus on the student,” Brady explained.
According to Brady, the group is exploring ways to keep students here in Illinois and how to help universities from a funding standpoint. Brady was impressed with his ride in the combine during the Central Illinois corn harvest.
“The scientific ability of everything nowadays and the equipment and technology has played such a major part in agriculture. It’s very much a team – or family – effort in many cases,” Brady added.
