'Cover Crops Guy' to speak

FORREST – A man known as the “Cover Crops Guy” will speak in Forrest this weekend.

Dan Perkins will discuss his passion for regenerating soils across the Midwest. He is co-owner of Perkins Good Earth Farm in northwestern Indiana. The micro farm grows a large amount of produce in small acreage. Perkins has over 14 years of experience in CSA management and growing organic vegetables. He is an independent certified crop advisor and serves as the Jasper County Watershed and Conservation District director.
