Volunteers needed for piglet display

The Illinois Pork Producers Association is looking for volunteers to help with the Piglet Birthing Center at the Illinois State Fair Aug. 10-18.

Volunteers will help educate fair-goers who come by to see the piglets so they should be knowledgeable about the swine industry. Shifts are available from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 2:30-7 p.m. All day shifts are also available.

Those helping out will receive admission to the fairgrounds, a meal at the pork patio and this year’s Pork Power T-shirt. To sign-up or for more information, contact Meg Meeker at intern@ilpork.com.
