Join us on the farm Saturday

Join us this Saturday morning as we broadcast live from Kilgus Farmstead near Fairbury for the annual Livingston County Farm Bureau Young Leaders Breakfast on the Farm.

We will be live on the Central Illinois Farm Network Facebook page at 7:30 a.m. and will be interviewing those involved with the breakfast. Listen for highlights on The Central Illinois Farm Network radio programming the following week along with a story posted to www.centralillinoisfarmnetwork.com.

The event will be held from 7-10 a.m. and the menu includes biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, milk, coffee and orange juice all for a donation of $1.00 per person. That dollar represents the approximate amount of money the farmer makes for growing or raising the ingredients. All of the proceeds raised will benefit Livingston County food pantries.

Those attending the breakfast will also be able to view ag displays, tour the dairy farm and participate in family-friendly activities at no cost. The first 40 kids to go on a tour receive a free pillow pet.

Kilgus Farmstead is located just south of Fairbury on First Street.
