Bin incident results in injury

TREMONT – A man was injured after his leg became caught in a grain bin auger Tuesday.

Authorities in Tazewell County say the man, whose name has not been released, was airlifted from a location near Tremont to a Peoria hospital by LifeFlight helicopter. The incident was reported around 2 p.m. and resulted in serious injuries.

Once emergency responders arrived on the scene, the man was separated from the auger.
