Statewide, the average temperature was 28.9 degrees, 0.9 degrees below normal.

Precipitation averaged 0.85 inches, 1.84 inches below normal. Topsoil moisture supply was rated at 9 percent very short, 24 percent short, 65 percent adequate, and 2 percent surplus. Subsoil moisture supply was rated at 12 percent very short, 30 percent short, 56 percent adequate, and 2 percent surplus.

Winter wheat condition was rated 5 percent very poor, 10 percent poor, 29 percent fair, 48 percent good, and 8 percent excellent.
