Local businesses busy at shows
If you attend a farm show this winter, you will likely see some familiar faces selling the latest ag products.
Tom Vaughan of TSC Truck in Forrest was at the recent Greater Peoria Farm Show talking to potential customers and showing off his trucks and trailers.
“Grain trailers get you to the elevator faster and back from the elevator faster,” Vaughan explained.
Vaughan says his automatic trucks make them easy for anyone to operate. He also has aluminum and steel trailer options. TSC started in 1990 as a small repair shop which now has about 19 employees.
“When I wasn’t busy, I’d work on trucks to sell then I’d hire a mechanic.”
Jon Fehr of I-Beam Door was also at the Peoria show. Fehr was displaying his fully functioning door system complete with latches, handles and a track. I-Beam provides solutions to sliding door problems.
“You can just make a sliding door better and make it what it needs to be versus spending a fortune on hydraulic or overhead doors,” Fehr said.
Heavy storms can ruin entire buildings and I-Beam Door eliminates door cave-ins and adjustment problems. Fehr plans to be at upcoming farm shows in the Quad Cities and at Gordyville.
