Assessment meeting planned
Are you wondering why your farmland taxes are higher this year? Are you having trouble understanding the complicated formula used to calculate your farmland assessments?
The Livingston County Farm Bureau, in cooperation with the Illinois Farm Bureau, will be hosting an informational program, titled “Changes to the Farmland Assessment Law”. Brenda Matherly, Assistant Director of Local Government with the Illinois Farm Bureau, will discuss the recent changes to the farmland assessment formula, and explain how those changes have impacted your 2016 property tax bill.
The program will be held at the Livingston County Farm Bureau office in Pontiac on Tuesday, March 7. 2017 beginning at 9:00 a.m.
