Annual Soil & Water meeting planned

PONTIAC – The annual meeting of the Livingston County Soil and Water Conservation District is set for Thursday, Jan. 19 at the Pontiac Elk’s Lodge.

Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. with a breakfast buffet at 8. During the business meeting, two directors will be elected and awards will be presented for the Conservation Farm Family and Partners in Conservation.

Speaker for the morning will be Dan Rutherford who will talk about the agriculture, conservation and people of Cuba. Rutherford is a former state representative, senator and treasurer for Illinois.
