Spring turkey hunting numbers released

Harvest totals have been released by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources from the 2023 Illinois spring turkey season.
Over 16,000 wild turkeys were harvested this spring which is up from the previous year which saw over 13,000 harvested.
In 2023, the top five Illinois counties for turkey hunters included Jo Daviess, Jefferson, Pike, Pope and Randolph.
