Halpin, Londrigan appointed by Biden
Grundy County farmer Scott Halpin has been named Illinois state executive director for the Farm Service Agency while Betsy Dirksen Londrigan of Springfield was named Illinois state director of Rural Development.
Halpin is the owner and operator of Halpin Farms and Halpin Farms Cattle with his parents and brother. The operation produces hay and silage in addition to growing corn and soybeans. Halpin has been involved in leadership for state and local agricultural organizations.
Dirksen Londrigan has over 20 years of experience in the non-profit sector working with community, regional and state leaders. The lifelong Springfield resident is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and former director for U of I Springfield. Londrigan’s family members still operate the farm in Central Illinois where her grandmother was raised.
