Ford, Livingston land sells at auction

Two separate tracts of area farmland sold at auction Thursday in a sale held in downtown Fairbury.

The 80.23 acres of Ford County land in Brenton Township south of Piper City went for $5,800 per acre. Meanwhile, 62.17 acres in Livingston County’s Sullivan Township north of Saunemin brought $7,300 per acre.

A possible windfarm lease option was included with the Ford County farm.

Ag Exchange of Danville conducted the auction at the Walton Centre second floor banquet facility.
