Farm Bureau meeting goes virtual

Illinois Farm Bureau held its first ever virtual annual meeting over the weekend.

During the event, there were four new and five incumbent Illinois Farm Bureau directors approved as delegates at the virtual meeting confirmed the nominations. In his address President Richard Guebert Jr. acknowledged the challenges and success the organization dealt with this year.

He noted we may never see a year such as this again but reminded the audience that farmers kept farming and Farm Bureau kept serving its members. Priorities for 2021 were also discussed, which include biofuels and international trade issues.

On Saturday, County Farm Bureau delegates approved a new policy addressing a challenge faced by businesses during the pandemic. Delegates also adopted new National Issues and Agriculture Production policies.
