A trade deal with China could be in the works as both the U.S. and China agreed on guidelines of a partial deal Friday which President Trump and China’s Xi Jinping may sign in the next month.
This is the most positive news in the 18-month trade conflict which has impacted both countries. Trump claims the deal is the first part of a bigger agreement. As part of the agreement, China would increase purchases of U.S. ag products and agree to intellectual property measures.
The U.S. will delay a tariff increase as details of the deal are finalized.
