EHD outbreak impacting deer

The state’s Department of Natural Resources is seeking the help of deer hunters to help keep track of EHD cases this fall.
IDNR reports Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease has already claimed over 400 deer across Illinois this year. Most of those cases were in counties near the Illinois River. Hunters who come across dead deer can report them to the state in order to help researchers focus on those counties hardest hit by the disease.
