Cover crop discussion is Wed.
PIPER CITY – An open conversation on cover crops and how they can reduce the need for additional inputs will be offered this Wednesday (April 4) from 9 a.m. to noon at Thorndyke Farms near Piper City.
University of Illinois crop science professor, Dr. Adam Davis will speak about using cover crops to compete with weed pressure. Also, Will Glazik with BCS will discuss the use of cover crops to add to fertilizer schedules. Local farmer Adam Thorndyke will also talk about his field and his family’s own experiences.
