Moody inducted into Hall of Fame

CHAMPAIGN – The Illinois Society of Professional Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers has a new inductee into its Hall of Fame.

Ernest D. Moody, AFM, ARA, AAC, was inducted during the organization’s annual meeting February 8 in Champaign. Richard Hiatt, AFM, ARA, and immediate past president of the organization, made the presentation. Moody is the 49th recipient of the honor which is given to members for outstanding service above and beyond.

In addition to serving as the society president in 1996, Moody has chaired several committees and served on others. He is a co-founder of Heartland Ag Group of Springfield.

The recent presentation coincided with the 90th anniversary celebration of the society which was founded on the University of Illinois campus in 1928.
