Field day is Thursday

PIPER CITY - A cover crop field day is planned for this Thursday (Nov. 16) from 8:30-10:30 a.m. on the Thorndyke farm, 1414 E. 3000 N. Road near Piper City.

The event is free and discussion topics include late summer cover crop inter-seeding with a Hagie machine and different cover crop mixes in a corn and corn rotation. Donuts and coffee will be provided. The field day is sponsored by the Ford and Livingston County Soil and Water Conservation Districts, American Farmland Trust and Vermilion Headwaters Watershed Partnership.
