Perdue confirmed as Ag Secretary

Sonny Perdue has been confirmed at the nation’s Ag Secretary.

The Senate voted on the confirmation Monday by a vote of 87-11. Perdue was originally announced as President Trump’s choice to run the ag department back in January, but the process of getting paperwork to the Senate Ag Committee took much longer than anticipated.

Perdue is a former two-term GOP governor of Georgia.
