Record breaker to present seminar
BLOOMINGTON – The 2016 national soybean yield record holder will present a seminar in Bloomington on Friday, Jan. 20.
Randy Dowdy is the record holder for soybeans at 171.8 bushels per acre. He was the national corn yield record holder at 504 bushels per acre in 2014. This past year, Dowdy placed first in the no-till/strip-till irrigated corn category with a yield of 521 bushels per acre. Dowdy’s goal is to teach growers why things work and how to understand the crop’s needs.
The daylong seminar entitled, “Maximizing Yield While Optimizing ROI” will be presented at the Parke Regency Hotel and Conference Center in Bloomington with registration opening at 9 a.m. Lunch is included but space is limited to the first 200 registrants.
