PONTIAC - Over 50 shooters from throughout the state came to Livingston County Farm Bureau Gun Club for some friendly competition to raise funds for the LCFB Foundation recently.

Winners in the 50 Bird Derby were Marv Kuebler and John Ryan with a score of 47/50. Heller Motors and J. Michael Grosso generously donated part of the prize money.

Following the program, the LCFB provided lunch and gave away door prizes that were donated from the community. At the end of the day, we raffled off 2 flats of cartridges donated by Adam McVey, LG Seeds and Leo Harmon.

All funds raised through this event will be used for the Elite Foundation Scholarship to a sophomore/junior in college majoring in an agricultural field.

A big thank you to Paul Carter, Dale Hewitt, Barb and Gary Mundschenk and all of the gun club volunteers for running the event! We would also like to say a special thank you to everyone that helped throughout the day setting targets, taking score and just plain helping during the event. Your hard work is greatly appreciated!

Finally we want to thank everyone that donated door prizes for our participants: Bloomington Normal Audiology, Paul Carter, Pontiac Dairy Queen, Fraher Ford, Graymont Co-Op, Driscoll, Hungry Boys, KSR, LeRoy Rifle and Pistol Club, LG Seeds, Adam McVey, Café Fontana, Pfaff’s, Heller’s Ford, Big R, Gary and Barb Mundschenk, Dan Masters, Sheila’s Nuthouse, State Bank of Graymont, Stoller’s International, Taco Bell, Wessellhoff Shooting Supplies, White Flyer.
