August is already here and it’s an odd-numbered year. That can only mean one thing: it’s almost Farm Progress Show time.
The Super Bowl of Agriculture, as some call it, returns to Decatur for three busy days later in the month. Progress City U.S.A. is located next to Richland Community College in a very convenient location for those attending. Show grounds are filled with exhibitors and the nearby fields allow plenty of equipment demonstrations.
Expect a few days of groundbreaking demonstrations, cutting-edge technology and plenty of innovative solutions during the country’s largest outdoor farm show. Demonstrations and equipment will be shown on 600 acres, which attracts visitors from all around the world.
Bigger companies such as CASE IH and John Deere often save big equipment announcements for the show and have hosted invitation-only unveilings in the past geared toward members of the media. We anxiously wait to see what is announced this year.
Anyone involved in ag can benefit from attending the show – from that person managing thousands of acres to those running smaller farm operations. The show delivers value for everyone.
You can save now by purchasing show tickets online and automatically be entered for a chance to win a Big Green Egg grill and multi-purpose outdoor cooker. View the official sweepstakes rules at www.farmprogress.pub/FPSsweepstakes.
Stay in touch with the Farm Progress Show by following the event on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X and You Tube.
This year’s platinum sponsors include BASF, Grinnell Mutual, Polaris and John Deere.
Be on the lookout for yours truly when wondering the show grounds at Farm Progress Show. I’ll be walking around with the CIFN microphone gathering numerous interviews and working on stories. It is always fun to tell the show’s story and to speak with those attending and participating.
See you in Decatur August 26-28.
